3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Noah verily prayed unto Us, and gracious was the Hearer of his prayer 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 For he was one of our believing Servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and said to his father and his people: “Whom do you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So turning their backs, they went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called to him, "O Abraham, 104 you have fulfilled what you were commanded to do in your dream." Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty victim. 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Thus indeed do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And [in time] We gave him the glad tiding of Isaac, [who, too, would be] a prophet, one of the righteous; 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
