And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And We made his descendants those remaining [on the earth] 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 "Peace and salutation to Noah among the nations!" 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 Thereafter they (the people) came to him in haste. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
