3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 He turned to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is the matter with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 Then We gave him the good tidings of a prudent boy; 101 and when he was old enough to go about and work with him, (one day) Abraham said to him: “My son, I see in my dream that I am slaughtering you. So consider (and tell me) what you think.” He said: “Do as you are bidden. You will find me, if Allah so wills, among the steadfast.” 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We cried unto him: O Ibrahim 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice (i.e. a ram); 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
