And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Surely he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 when he said to his father and his folk, 'What do you serve? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 "Then what do you think about the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)?" 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 (This failing), they then sought a stratagem against him, but We made them the ones most humiliated! 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 And when they had both submitted and he put him down upon his forehead, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
