3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And his offspring! them We made the survivors. 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 Then he glanced a glance on the stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 So they contrived a plot against him, but We made them abject. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called to him, saying: 'O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 Indeed this was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And we gave him tidings of the birth of Isaac, a prophet of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
