3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 "Peace be upon Noah throughout all the worlds!" 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 what, then, is your opinion of the Lord of the worlds? 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And he said: "Verily, I am sick (with plague. He did this trick to remain in their temple of idols to destroy them and not to accompany them to the pagan's feast)." 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What aileth ye that ye speak not? 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: 'Do you worship what you, yourselves have carved 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 Wherefore We gave him the glad tidings of a boy gentle. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Lo! that verily was a clear test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Peace be unto Ibrahim: 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 Then, We gave him the glad tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous, 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
