3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And We left for him among the posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ Abraham was on the self-same way (as Noah). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a calumny, gods apart from God, that you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 All the people turned away from him 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he slipped unto them striking them with the right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 but he said, "How can you worship things you carve with your own hands, 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: verily I am going to my Lord who will guide me. 99 My Lord! Bestow on me a son who will be of the righteous. 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 That was indeed a trying test. 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 108 "Peace be upon Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 110 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 111 And We gave him the good news of Isaac - a prophet,- one of the Righteous. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
