Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 And made his seed the survivors, 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 That is how We reward those who do good. 80 Verily, he [Nuh (Noah)] was one of Our believing slaves. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 Recall what time he came unto his Lord with a heart whole. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 And he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 He then sneaked upon their deities and said, “Do you not eat?” 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
