Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then the rest we overwhelmed in the Flood. 82 ۞ And indeed Ibrahim is from his (Nooh’s) group. 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds' 87 He looked up at the stars. 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 Then he attacked them, striking with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 “My Lord! Give me a meritorious child.” 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 Of a surety thou hast fulfilled the vision. Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 105 Indeed, this was the clear trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 He was one of Our believing servants. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
