Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 And left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And said: "I am sick (of what you worship)!" 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 Then turned he to their gods and said: Will ye not eat? 91 What is the matter with you, why do you not speak?” 92 He then began striking them with his right hand, unseen by the people. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said, “Construct a building (furnace) for him, and then cast him in the blazing fire!” 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 We gave him the glad news of the birth of a forbearing son. 101 and when he had reached the age of running with him, he said, 'My son, I see in a dream that I shall sacrifice thee; consider, what thinkest thou?' He said, 'My father, do as thou art bidden; thou shalt find me, God willing, one of the steadfast.' 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 This is how We reward the virtuous. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
