3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah had verily called to Us. And how gracious was He who answered (him). 75 And We saved him and his family from the great affliction. 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the peoples! 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the other (disbelievers and polytheists, etc.). 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Why do you solicit false gods instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, and departed. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he started striking them down with his right hand. 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 Abraham said to them: “Do you worship what you yourselves have carved with your own hands 95 even though God created both you and that which you have made?" 96 They said: build for him a building and cast him into the flaming fire. 97 And they devised a plot for him, but We made them the humble. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out: "O Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be on Abraham. 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 He was one of Our believing worshipers. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113
