And assuredly Nuh cried unto us; and We are the Best of answerers! 75 And We saved him and his household from the great distress, 76 and made his offspring the only ones to survive, 77 and We left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Thus do We reward the righteous ones. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 [and so We saved him and those who followed him] and then We caused the others to drown. 82 ۞ Of his party was also Abraham; 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 and [thus] spoke to his father and his people: "What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want [to bow down before] a lie - [before] deities other than God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned towards their gods and said: "Why do you not eat (of these offerings)? 91 What ails you, that you speak not?' 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 Then came (the worshippers) with hurried steps, and faced (him). 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said, "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the blaze!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 Abraham said: “I am going to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 When his son was old enough to work with him, he said, "My son, I have had a dream that I must sacrifice you. What do you think of this?" He replied, "Father, fulfill whatever you are commanded to do and you will find me patient, by the will of God". 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out to him: "O Abraham, 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave Abraham the good news of Isaac, a prophet and a righteous man, 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
