3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and We made his offspring the only survivors. 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all beings!' 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 Behold! he approached his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 He cast a glance at the stars 88 He then said, “I feel sick (of you)!” 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he went quietly to the (temple of the deities) and said: “What is the matter with you, why do you not eat? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "When God has created you and what you make?" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 "O my Lord! Grant me a righteous (son)!" 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 When they had surrendered, and he flung him upon his brow, 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have indeed shown the truth of the vision; surely thus do We reward the doers of good: 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be remembered among later generations: 108 Peace be on Ibrahim. 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
