(In the days of old), Noah cried to Us, and We are the best to hear prayer. 75 for We saved him and his household from that awesome calamity, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 he came to his Lord with a sound heart. 84 When he said to his father and his people: "What is this you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 “So what do you assume regarding the Lord Of The Creation?” (That He will not punish you?) 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said, 'What do you eat? 91 What is amiss with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "Do you worship that which you [yourselves] carve, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They replied: 'Build for him a building and cast him into the fire' 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And [Abraham] said: "Verily, I shall [leave this land and] go wherever my Sustainer will guide me!" 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 whereupon We gave him the glad tiding of a boy-child gentle [like himself]? 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you – therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 We cried out: “O Abraham, 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 We ransomed him with a great sacrifice, 107 and perpetuated his praise in later generations. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Verily We! thus We compense the well-doers. 110 he was among Our believing servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Is-haq; and of their offspring are some well-doers and some who wrong themselves manifestly. 113
