We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 They were among Our believing worshipers. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Do you call on Baal, and abandon the Best of creators? 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by (their ruined town) in the morning 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
