We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and left them thus to be remembered among later generations: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 “Allah – Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except an old woman who was among those that stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
