We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moosa and Haroon! 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
