We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We utterly destroyed the rest of them. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
