We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily, Lout (Lot) was one of the Messengers. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We annihilated the others. 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
