We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 That is how We reward those who do good. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 God your Lord and Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times; 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Except an old woman (his wife) who was among those who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
