Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elias too was one of the Envoys; 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We kept his praise among the latter generations. 129 'Peace be upon Elias!' 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and at night. Do you still not understand? 138
