We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 And We helped them, so that they were the victors; 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace and salutation to Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 They denied him, and will surely be brought to punishment, 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And lo! ye verily pass by (the ruin of) them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
