And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 He asked his people: 'Do you not fear (Allah)? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 But they called him a liar, therefore they shall most surely be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We rescued him and his entire household. 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 and by night. Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
