And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 And We led the twain on unto the straight path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 Elias was certainly a Messenger. 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be unto Elias! 130 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 131 he was among Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman (who was) amongst those who tarried. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
