THUS, INDEED, did We bestow Our favour upon Moses and Aaron; 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We vouchsafed unto the twain a Book luminous. 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We left (this blessing) for them among generations (to come) in later times: 119 Salamun (peace) be upon Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 when he said to his people, 'Will you not be godfearing? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 And they denied him, so indeed, they will be brought [for punishment], 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace and salutation to such as Elias!" 130 In this way do We reward the righteous ones. 131 For he was one of our believing Servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. – 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
