And We indeed did a great favour to Moosa and Haroon. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 and guided them the straight way, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 This is how We reward the virtuous. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 "Will ye call upon Baal and forsake the Best of Creators,- 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they rejected him, and they will certainly be called up (for punishment),- 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot too was one of the Envoys; 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
