And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We succoured them so that they became overcomers. 116 And We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and Aaron' 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Lo! they are two of Our believing slaves. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 "Will you call upon Ba'l (a well- known idol of his nation whom they used to worship) and forsake the Best of creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 but they rejected him, and thus will certainly be called to account; 127 Except the chosen creatures of God. 128 And We left his (memory) for posterity. 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Thus do We reward the good-doers. 131 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, ye pass by their (sites), by day- 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
