Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
Verily We bestowed Our favours on Moses and Aaron 114 and We saved them with their nation from a great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were the vanquishers. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 And showed them the straight path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 We saved him and all his kinsmen, 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
