And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 And We saved them and their people from the great distress; 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 guided them to the right path, 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 What! do you call upon Ba'l and forsake the best of the creators, 125 who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 We rescued him and his whole family, 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 Or at night. Then how is it you do not understand? 138
