Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And assuredly We gave grace unto Musa and Harun. 114 And We delivered them both and their people from the mighty distress. 115 and succoured them, so that [in the end] it was they who achieved victory. 116 We gave them the enlightening Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them among the later folk (the salutation): 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 This is how We reward those who do good: 121 Surely they were both of Our believing servants. 122 AND, BEHOLD, Elijah [too] was indeed one of Our message-bearers 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 Allah is your Lord and the Lord of your ancestors of yore.” 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 Except the chosen slaves of Allah. 128 We perpetuated his praise in the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We delivered him and his followers, all-- 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 And during the night; so do you not have sense? 138

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
