Hizb 46
< random >
And, verily, Yunus (Jonah) was one of the Messengers. 139 When he fled on the laden ship, 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 [and they cast him into the sea,] whereupon the great fish swallowed him, for he had been blameworthy. 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would have tarried in its belly till the day when they are raised; 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused to grow, over him, a spreading plant of the gourd kind. 146 And We sent him (on a mission) to a hundred thousand (men) or more. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or did We create the angels as females while they were witnesses?" 150 Is it not a lie invented by them when they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not, then, bethink yourselves? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 except for the sincere worshipers of Allah. 160 You and whatever you worship 161 can lure away from God any 162 Save him who is to burn in hell. 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 we are the rangers, 165 And verily we! we hallow. 166 And surely they used to say: 167 'If only we had had a Reminder from the ancients, 168 "We would have indeed been the chosen slaves of Allah (true believers of Islamic Monotheism)!" 169 But when it came to them, they rejected it. They shall soon come to know (the end of such an attitude). 170 Already has Our Word been passed before (this) to our Servants sent (by Us), 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And verily Our host! they are to be overcome. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn (away) from them for a while, 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Exaltations be to your Lord, the Lord of Might, above that they describe! 180 And peace be upon the Envoys; 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
