Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 When he left towards the laden ship. 140 And he drew lots and was among the losers. 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 Had he not been one of those who struggled hard, 143 he would certainly have remained inside the fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ but We cast him upon the wilderness, and he was sick, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him towards a hundred thousand people, in fact more. 147 And they believed, therefor We gave them comfort for a while. 148 Now ask them their opinion: Is it that thy Lord has (only) daughters, and they have sons?- 149 Or created We the angels females while they were present? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you form your judgement? 154 Will ye not then be admonished? 155 Or have you clear evidence? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glorified be Allah from that which they attribute (unto Him), 159 except the servants of God, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 you shall tempt none against Him 162 Save him who will go to hell. 163 [All forces of nature praise God and say:] "Among us, too, there is none but has a place assigned to it [by Him]; 164 And indeed, we are those who line up [for prayer]. 165 Verily, we (angels), we are they who glorify (Allah's Praises i.e. perform prayers). 166 What though they would say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 for, long ago has Our word gone forth unto Our servants, the message-bearers, 171 that they shall certainly be succoured, 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn away from them for a while. 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends into their courtyard, it will be terrible for those who have already been warned. 177 And turn thou aside from them for a season. 178 And watch, for they will soon see. 179 Purity is to your Lord, the Lord of Honour, from all what they say. 180 And peace be unto those sent (to warn). 181 It is only God, the Lord of the Universe, who deserves all praise. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
