Hizb 46

Jonah, too, was one of the Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 Had it not been that he (repented and) glorified Allah, 143 He would certainly have remained inside the Fish till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 We sent him to a hundred thousand or more people. 147 And they believed; so We gave them enjoyment for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "Allah has begotten off spring or children (i.e. angels are the daughters of Allah)?" And, verily, they are liars! 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 What is the matter with you that you make such strange judgements? 154 What, and will you not remember? 155 Or have you a clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 160 But as for you, and that you serve, 161 can lure away from God any 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 (Gabriel said to the Prophet): 'Each of us has a known place. 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 And there were those who said, 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would have been the chosen creatures of God." 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 that it is certainly they who will be helped; 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So turn (away) from them for a while. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends on their courtyards, how terrible that morning will be for those who were warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And (then) see, for they too shall see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
