Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the messengers. 139 He fled to the overloaded ship. 140 Then he joined the lots, and was of the condemned. 141 The fish then swallowed him and he blamed himself. (For not waiting for Allah’s command.) 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 and caused a gourd tree to grow over him, 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (people) or even more. 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Now ask them (O Muhammad SAW): "Are there (only) daughters for your Lord and sons for them?" 149 Or created We the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Lo! verily it is of their falsehood that they say: 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 “What is the matter with you? What sort of a judgement you impose!” 154 What, will you not remember? 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Produce, then, that divine writ of yours, if you are speaking the truth! 157 And they have appointed a relationship between Him and the jinns; and indeed the jinns surely know that they will be brought forth. 158 Glory be to Allah (for freedom) from what they describe; 159 but not so the true servants of God, 160 Therefore you and all what you worship. (The disbelievers and their deities.) 161 Can mislead anyone away from Him, 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 As for us, there is none but has an appointed station. 164 we are those who stand ranged in ranks. 165 “And indeed we are those who say His purity.” 166 They say, 167 “If only we had the Reminder which had been granted to the people of yore 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But they disbelieved in it, so they are going to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and Our host -- they are the victors. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 And see [what will befall] them, for they are going to see. 175 Do they wish (indeed) to hurry on our Punishment? 176 When that chastisement will descend upon their courtyard, evil shall that Day be for those who had been warned. 177 So turn away from them for a while. 178 And watch; they will come to know soon. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And praise be to Allah, Lord of the Worlds! 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
