Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 And then drew lots and was of those rejected; 141 Then the big Fish did swallow him, and he had done acts worthy of blame. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ but We caused him to be cast forth on a desert shore, sick [at heart] as he was, 145 And We caused to grow over him a tree, a gourd. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed. So We let them enjoy life for a while. 148 Now ask them whether your Lord has daughters, whereas they have sons. 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Oh, verily, it is out of their own [inclination to] falsehood that some people assert, 151 'God has begotten?' They are truly liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters in preference to sons? 153 What aileth you? How judge ye? 154 Will you not then mind? 155 Or have you received some clear authority? 156 Then bring your scripture, if what you say is true. 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 Glorified is Allah! (He is Free) from what they attribute unto Him! 159 Except His chosen creatures who do not. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 Except such as are (themselves) going to the blazing Fire! 163 And the angels say, “Each one of us has an appointed known position.” 164 Verily, we (angels), we stand in rows for the prayers (as you Muslims stand in rows for your prayers); 165 And we are most surely they who declare the glory (of Allah). 166 And surely they used to say: 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 we would surely have been Allah's chosen servants.” 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 will certainly be victorious 172 and that it is Our host that would certainly triumph. 173 So withdraw from them (O Muhammad) awhile, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 What! would they then hasten on Our chastisement? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 Leave them alone for a while, 178 and see [them for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 179 Glory be to thy Lord, the Lord of Glory, above that they describe! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
