Hizb 46

Jonah too was one of the Envoys; 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 and cast lots, and he was among the losers (of the lots that were cast). 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 And had he not been one of those who glorify (Allah) 143 he would certainly have remained in its belly till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on to the vacant surface of the earth while he was sick. 145 and We caused to grow over him a tree of gourds. 146 Then We sent him unto a hundred thousand, or more, 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him), whether the daughters are for your Lord and the sons for them! 149 Or that have We created the angels as females, while they were present? 150 It is only because of their false invention that they say, 151 "God has begotten [a son]"; and verily, they are lying [too, when they say,] 152 Has He (then) chosen daughters rather than sons? 153 What is [wrong] with you? How do you make judgement? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or, is there for you a clear warranty 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 And they imagine kinship between him and the jinn, whereas the jinn know well that they will be brought before (Him). 158 limitless is God in His glory, above anything that men may devise by way of definition! 159 But not so the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 160 So, verily you (pagans) and those whom you worship (idols). 161 Not against Him can you cause (any) to fall into trial, 162 unless it be such as rushes towards the blazing fire [of his own accord]! 163 There is not one of us but hath his known position. 164 We stand in ranks (for prayer) 165 and we glorify God". 166 They used to say: 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And Our word has already preceded for Our servants, the messengers, 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 and that, verily, Our hosts - they indeed - would [in the end] be victorious! 173 So, [O Muhammad], leave them for a time. 174 And (then) see them, so they too shall see. 175 Do they really wish to hasten Our punishment? 176 When it lights in their courtyard, how evil will be the morning of them that are warned! 177 And leave them for a time. 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is due to God alone, the Sustainer of all the worlds! 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
