Hizb 46
< random >
Jonah was certainly a Messenger. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was among the losers, 141 Then he was swallowed by a large fish as he was worthy of blame. 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have tarried in the belly thereof till the Day when they are raised. 144 ۞ Then We cast him on a bare desert whilst he was sick. 145 And We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him; 146 Then We sent him to a hundred thousand or more, 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 AND NOW ask them to enlighten thee: Has thy Sustainer daughters, whereas they would have [only] sons? 149 Or did We create the angels females while they were witnesses? 150 Then is it of their lying that they say: 151 That “Allah has offspring”; and indeed, surely, they are liars. 152 Does He prefer sons to daughters? 153 Woe to you! How terrible is your Judgment. 154 Will you then not take heed? 155 Or have ye a clear warrant? 156 Bring your book if what you say is true. 157 They have set up a kinship between Him and the jinn; and the jinn know that they shall be arraigned. 158 Purity is to Allah from the matters they fabricate. 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except him who shall roast in the Blazing Fire. 163 [The angels say], "Every single one of us has his place assigned: 164 We are surely those who are arranged in ranks. 165 And we are they who exalt (Allah)' 166 They say, 167 'If only we had a reminder from the ancients, 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 But (now that the Qur'an has come), they reject it: But soon will they know! 170 We decreed that Our Messenger servants 171 That they verily would be made triumphant. 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 Watch them: they will soon see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 Hence, turn thou aside for a while from them, 178 and see; and they too shall soon see. 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be on the Messengers! 181 And Praise to Allah, the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds. 182
Almighty Allah's Truth.
