S (Saad)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Sad. By the Qur'an containing reminder... 1 nay, but the unbelievers glory in their schism. 2 How many did We destroy before them of the generations, then they cried while the time of escaping had passed away. 3 They marvel now that, from among themselves, a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say: 'This is a lying sorcerer. 4 Does he make all the deities out to be one God? This is indeed a strange thing." 5 And the leaders among them went about (saying): "Go on, and remain constant to your aliha (gods)! Verily, This is a thing designed (against you)! 6 We have not heard of any such thing in the old religion. This is nothing but a fabrication. 7 Can it be that he alone has received the Quran?" In fact, they have doubts about My Quran and this is because they have not yet faced (My) torment. 8 Or are theirs the treasures of the mercy of thy Lord, the Mighty, the Bestower? 9 Or, is theirs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Then let them ascend by (their) means! 10 [They are but] soldiers [who will be] defeated there among the companies [of disbelievers]. 11 Even before them the people of Noah, 'Ad, the mighty Pharoah, 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 There was not one of those that did not belie the Messengers. Therefore, My retribution was realized. 14
