It was not in falsehood that We created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them. That is the thought of the unbelievers. But woe to the unbelievers because of the Fire! 27 Shall We make those who believe and do good deeds equal to those who spread turmoil in the earth? Or shall We equate the pious with the disobedient? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman, most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 30 [Mention] when there were exhibited before him in the afternoon the poised [standing] racehorses. 31 he said, "My love of horses for the cause of God has made me continue watching them until sunset, thus making me miss my prayer". 32 He said, "Bring them back to me." Then he started to rub their legs and necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said, “My Lord! Forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom, which shall not befit anyone after me; indeed only You are the Great Bestower.” 35 Then We subjected the wind to his power, to flow gently to his order, Whithersoever he willed,- 36 And made the demons subservient to him, all builders and divers. 37 And other demons bound in chains. 38 We said: "This is Our gift, so give or withhold as you wish without reckoning." 39 Indeed an exalted position of nearness awaits him and an excellent resort. 40
