And We have not created the heaven and the earth and all that is between them without purpose; this is what the disbelievers assume; therefore ruin is for the disbelievers, by the fire. 27 [For,] would We treat those who have attained to faith and do righteous deeds in the same manner as [We shall treat] those who spread corruption on earth? Would We treat the God-conscious in the same manner as the wicked? 28 [This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded. 29 And We gave to Dawood Sulaiman, most excellent the servant! Surely he was frequent in returning (to Allah). 30 Behold, there were brought before him, at eventide coursers of the highest breeding, and swift of foot; 31 And he said: Lo! I have preferred the good things (of the world) to the remembrance of my Lord; till they were taken out of sight behind the curtain. 32 He said, "Bring them back to me." Then he started to rub their legs and necks. 33 Indeed, We tried Solomon and placed a body (of a child) upon his throne, then he repented. 34 He said: my Lord! forgive me, and bestow on me a dominion which no one may obtain beside me: verily Thou! Thou art the Bestower. 35 We subjected the wind to him, so that it blew gently at his bidding, wherever he directed it, 36 And We subjected to him the evil ones: every builder and diver. 37 and others that were bound with chains. 38 This is Our gift, so bestow thou or withhold, without rendering an account. 39 And he has a place near to Us, and a fine return. 40
