We have not created the heavens and earth, and what between them is, for vanity; such is the thought of the unbelievers, wherefore woe unto the unbelievers because of the Fire! 27 Are We to make those who believe and do good works the same as those who corrupt the earth? Are We to make the righteous as the wicked? 28 A Book We have sent down to thee, Blessed, that men possessed of minds may ponder its signs and so remember. 29 And We bestowed Sulaiman to Dawud; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 30 When his dressage steeds were presented to him in the evening, 31 he said: 'Indeed I have loved the love of good things better than the remembrance of my Lord until the sun has vanished behind a veil. 32 (Then he said): Bring them back to me, and fell to slashing (with his sword their) legs and necks. 33 We surely tried Solomon, and placed another body on his throne. So he turned to God 34 He prayed, "Lord forgive me! Grant me such power as no one after me will have -- You are the Most Generous Provider." 35 Then We made the wind subservient to him; it made his command to run gently wherever he desired, 36 And the devils -- the builders and divers of all kinds, 37 As also others bound together in fetters. 38 We told him, "This is Our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like". 39 In Our eyes he certainly has a high position and the best place to return. 40
