(Muhammad), recall Our servant Job. When he prayed to his Lord saying, "Satan has afflicted me with hardship and torment," 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 They were, in Our sight, truly, of the company of the Elect and the Good. 47 And remember Isma'il and Al-Yas'a and Zul-kifl; all of the excellent ones. 48 This is an admonition, and verily for the God-fearing is a happy retreat: 49 The gardens of perpetuity, the doors are opened for them. 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ And beside them will be chaste females (virgins) restraining their glances only for their husbands, (and) of equal ages. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This is for the virtuous; and indeed for the rebellious is a wretched destination. 55 Gehenna, wherein they are roasted - an evil cradling! 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 and other torments of the like kind coupled together. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 Their followers will say, "In fact, it is you who deserve condemnation. It was you who led us to hell, a terrible dwelling". 60 adding, "Our Lord, give double punishment to those who brought this upon us." 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Have we taken them in mockery? Or, have our eyes swerved from them?' 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
