AND CALL to mind Our servant Job, [how it was] when he cried out to his Sustainer, "Behold, Satan has afflicted me with [utter] weariness and suffering!" 41 (We commanded him): “Stamp your foot on earth, and here is cool water to wash with and to drink.” 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 Verily We did choose them for a special (purpose)- proclaiming the Message of the Hereafter. 46 and in Our sight they are of the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 the Gardens of Eden whose gates shall be open to them, 50 Therein will they recline (at ease): Therein can they call (at pleasure) for fruit in abundance, and (delicious) drink; 51 ۞ And with them are those of modest gaze, companions. 52 This it is that ye are promised for the Day of Reckoning. 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 All of this; so let them taste it, boiling water and pus, 57 Taste the scalding water, pus, and other putrid things". 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 [And] they will pray: "O our Sustainer! Whoever has prepared this for us, double Thou his suffering in the fire!" 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 and whom we mocked? Have they been rescued or can our eyes not find them?" 63 Such disputes will certainly take place among the dwellers of hell fire. 64
