And remember Our bondman Ayyub (Job); when he cried out* to his Lord, “The devil has struck me with hardship and pain.” (After seven years of patience.) 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 "Take a handful of herbs," (We said to him), and apply and rub them, and do not make a mistake." We found him patient in adversity, an excellent devotee, always turning in repentance. 44 And remember Our bondmen Ibrahim, and Ishaq, and Yaqub – the men of power and knowledge. 45 We gave them this pure distinction because of their continual remembrance of the Day of Judgment. 46 And behold, in Our sight they were indeed among the elect, the truly good! 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is a reminder. And indeed, for the righteous is a good place of return 49 Gardens of perpetual residence, whose doors will be opened to them. 50 in which they will recline, and call for abundant fruit and drink therein. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Our provision (for you) will never be exhausted. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 and, coupled with it, further [suffering] of a similar nature. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 Their followers will say, "In fact, it is you who deserve condemnation. It was you who led us to hell, a terrible dwelling". 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will say: "What is the matter with us that we see not men whom we used to count among the bad ones?" 62 [and] whom we made the target of our derision? Or are they here, and our eyes have missed them?" 63 Lo! that is very truth: the wrangling of the dwellers in the Fire. 64
