And make mention (O Muhammad) of Our bondman Job, when he cried unto his Lord (saying): Lo! the devil doth afflict me with distress and torment. 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We bestowed on him (again) his household and therewith the like thereof, a mercy from Us, and a memorial for men of understanding. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And remember Our slaves, Ibrahim (Abraham), Ishaque (Isaac), and Ya'qub (Jacob), (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and (also) of religious understanding. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is an advice; and indeed for the pious is an excellent abode. 49 Everlasting Gardens – all its gates are open for them. 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ They will have bashful wives of equal age with them. 52 All this is what you are promised for the Day of Judgement. 53 This is surely Our provision never-ending. 54 This [is so]. But indeed, for the transgressors is an evil place of return - 55 Hell, where they will burn, an evil resting-place. 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They will say: 'Our Lord, give those who brought this upon us double the punishment of the Fire' 61 And they will Say: what aileth us that we behold not men whom we were wont to count among the evil ones? 62 “Did we mock at them or did our eyes turn away from them?” 63 Such, behold, will in truth be the [confusion and] mutual wrangling of the people of the fire! 64
