And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 We said, "Stamp your foot! Here is cool water for you to wash in and drink," 42 We restored his family to him, doubling their number as an act of grace from Us, and as a reminder to all who are endowed with insight. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 Remember Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob -- possessors of strength and vision. 45 Verily We! We distinguished them with a distinct quality: the remembrance of the Abode. 46 And verily they are with us of the elect of the excellent ones. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This was a remembrance. An excellent retreat awaits the God-fearing 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 They will be resting therein and will be able to ask for many kinds of fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 This (shall be so); and most surely there is an evil resort for the inordinate ones; 55 Hell!- they will burn therein, - an evil bed (indeed, to lie on)!- 56 (They will be told), "This is your recompense. 57 and other sufferings of the kind. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people rushing headlong to join you?" "No welcome to them! Indeed, they are headed for the fire!" 59 They will say: "In fact, it is you who will have no welcome. It is you who brought this upon us. What an evil place of rest!" 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Verily this is the very truth: the wrangling of the fellows of the Fire! 64
