1/2 Hizb 46

Remember Our votary Job because he called to his Lord: "Satan has afflicted me with disease and distress." 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We gave him (back) his family, and along with them the like thereof, as a Mercy from Us, and a Reminder for those who understand. 43 "And take in your hand a bundle of thin grass and strike therewith (your wife), and break not your oath. Truly! We found him patient. How excellent (a) slave! Verily, he was ever oft-returning in repentance (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants -- Abraham, Isaac and Jacob -- they were endowed with great strength and vision. 45 Indeed, We chose them for an exclusive quality: remembrance of the home [of the Hereafter]. 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And make mention of Ishmael and Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. All are of the chosen. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 Reclining therein, calling therein for many fruits and drink. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 This it is what you (Al-Muttaqun - the pious) are promised for the Day of Reckoning! 53 this, verily, shall be Our provision [for you,] with no end to it! 54 But the arrogant will have the worst return: 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 All this; so let them taste it - boiling water and pus, 57 And other [punishments] of its type [in various] kinds. 58 Here is a troop rushing headlong with you! No welcome for them! truly, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers of the misleaders will say): "Nay, you (too)! No welcome for you! It is you (misleaders) who brought this upon us (because you misled us in the world), so evil is this place to stay in!" 60 They will say: 'Our Lord, give those who brought this upon us double the punishment of the Fire' 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Did we take them (wrongly) for a laughing-stock, or have our eyes missed them? 63 This contending of the inmates of Hell will surely be real. 64

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
