Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 Lord of the heavens and earth, and of what between them is, the All-mighty, the All-forgiving.' 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 "No knowledge have I of the Chiefs on high, when they discuss (matters) among themselves. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 [So mention] when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I am going to create a human being from clay. 71 “So when I have perfected him and breathed into him a spirit from Myself, (you all) fall down before him in prostration.” 72 all the angel then prostrated themselves 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 Allah said: O Iblis! what preventeth thee from prostrating thyself before that which I have created with both my hands? Becomest thou stiff-necked, or art thou of the exalted ones? 75 He said: I am better than him. Thou createdst me of fire, whilst him Thou didst create of clay. 76 He said: Go forth from hence, for lo! thou art outcast, 77 Upon you will be My damnation till the Day of Doom." 78 He said, “My Lord! Therefore give me respite till the day when all will be raised.” 79 so He said, "You are granted respite 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 Except Thy servants from among them, the purified ones. 83 Said Allah, “So this is the truth; and I speak only the truth.” – 84 I will certainly fill the Gehenna with you and with all those among them who follow you.” 85 Say, "I do not ask you for any recompense for this, nor am I a man of false pretentions: 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 you shall before long know its truth." 88
