Say: "Truly am I a Warner: no god is there but the one Allah, Supreme and Irresistible,- 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them, the Exalted in Might, the Perpetual Forgiver." 66 Say, “That is a great tidings.” 67 Whence ye turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted chiefs when they contended: 69 This alone is revealed to me, that I am only a clear warner.' 70 Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I am about to create man from clay: 71 “So when I have perfected him and breathed into him a spirit from Myself, (you all) fall down before him in prostration.” 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 Except Iblees; he was arrogant and became among the disbelievers. 74 He said: O Iblis! What hindereth thee from falling prostrate before that which I have created with both My hands? Art thou too proud or art thou of the high exalted? 75 He said: I am better than he: me Thou hast created of fire, and him Thou hast created of clay. 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 And lo! My curse is on thee till the Day of Judgment. 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 Answered He: "Verily, so [be it:] thou shalt be among those who are granted respite 80 Till the period of the time made known. 81 He said: "By Your authority, I will lead them astray, 82 except those of Your servants, the chosen ones from amongst them.” 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 I will fill up Hell with you together with those who follow you." 85 Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for this, and I am no simulating. 86 Lo! it is naught else than a reminder for all peoples 87 You will come to know its truth in time." 88
