Say, [Prophet], "I am only a warner. There is no god but God, the One, the All-Powerful, 65 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Almighty, the All-Forgiving!" 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 yet you ignore it. 68 (Tell them): “I had no knowledge of the High Council when they were disputing. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed My spirit into him, prostrate yourselves before him." 72 The angels fell down prostrate, every one, 73 But not Iblis: he was proud and he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 [Allah] said, "Then get out of Paradise, for indeed, you are expelled. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 He said, "Lord, grant me respite until the Day of Resurrection". 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 till the Day of the known time' 81 He said: Then by Thy Might I will surely make them live an evil life, all, 82 "Except Your chosen slaves amongst them (faithful, obedient, true believers of Islamic Monotheism)." 83 Said Allah, “So this is the truth; and I speak only the truth.” – 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 Say: "No reward do I ask of you for this (Qur'an), nor am I a pretender. 86 It is nothing but a reminder to the nations; 87 "And ye shall certainly know the truth of it (all) after a while." 88
